Public Service

Ms. Spelman was President of the Board of the Bridge Way School, an accredited “recovery high school” for Philadelphia area students who are committed to recovery from substance addiction.
Ms. Spelman has served as a member of the Swarthmore Borough Council, a member of the Swarthmore Zoning Hearing Board, a leader of both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, a member and treasurer of her local political party’s committee, and a board member for the Swarthmore Rotary Club and the Delaware County League of Women Voters.
